Description: Vintage (4) Men's/ Women's Handkerchief - R.W.Eldridge Sample Hankies/ Hanky New find in grampa's closet- 4 Vintage Handkerchiefs 1953-60 (?) men's/women's handkerchiefs. Gramps used to work for C.W. Eldridge a long time ago, R.W. may be his brother or dad(?), and these were part of his Sample case. Back in the day, I'm sure these were made for men, but it's 2024, so fine for ladies, too. These hankies were inside the gray folded cardboard (see picture). Sticker on the folded cardboard reads: R.W Eldridge Co.- Specializing in The Manufacture of Quality Handkerchiefs Since 1912 Samples I believe all are 100% cotton. All are hemmed. All are nicely folded and clean. I unfolded only to take pictures and to measure for size. Green Check- stiffer and thicker than the white hankies. Very nice small check pattern, measures 17-1/2" x 17-1/2". Solid Brown- a bit thinner feel than the green check but not as thin as the white ones, measures 17" x 16-1/2". TWO Solid white, thinner hankies. Both are tagged All Cotton, RN 15179 and have an RW Eldridge Sample tag that reads No. 108 and No. 108/3. Please see all pictures. Nice, never washed, hadn't seen the light of day until about 3 weeks ago. In great condition, no stains, marks, or tears. Sample folder included in pictures just so you can see how they have been stored. NOTE: Cardboard folder will NOT ship with hankies. Smoke and pet free home. Ships USPS ground advantage.
