Description: The screw back type of earing was popular in the late 1920's - 1950's, and was generally used on higher end jewelry, although I can't be sure if they were made in that time period. These earrings feature 23 K hammered gold set in what appears to be an acrylic base. The screw back closure may be gold but I am unable to find a stamp on it. It looks to me like it might be 10 k because most of the closure parts are free of patina or corrosion. The two parts that attach to the ear does have some dark areas on it. Whether it's gold or not, these earrings are definitely older vintage items. They come with the original display piece, which has seen a lot of handling and show much wear to it.
