The copyright page shows the words “First Edition” and a full number line (1-10). Just to be clear, this is the first U. S. edition and this book was 1st published in Australia by Random House. The dust jacket is not price clipped and still shows the original retail price of $ 26.95 on the inside front flap. The book has 385 numbered pages. Condition Please look closely at the photos as they are an important part of my description of this item. The book is in near fine or near mint condition. The book itself is flawless as far as I can see. The dust jacket has one very tiny 1/4” long closed tear at the top front corner of the spine, and does show some light signs of shelf wear and a very minor amount of rubbing to the edges and folds. There is also a bit of bumping to the cover at the bottom of the spine. The book is not ex-library, not a book club edition, not price clipped, not remainder marked. It is tightly bound, has no lean, no noticeable fading to the dust jacket and does not have any offensive smell or odor. There are no tears to any pages and none are dog-eared. There are no markings or stains of any kind inside or outside the book. A nice clean copy. Please keep in mind these photos may be blown up at least 8-10 times normal, so anything you see will look 8-10 times larger in the photos than it really is. Please note: if you see a dark spot in the photos, it is from my camera and is not a mark on the piece. It will be either just to the right of center towards the bottom or slightly above center on the right side of the photo.
