Vintage 1971 Barbie Growin' Pretty Hair #1144 w/Outfit +Hair Pieces+Instructions

Description: Amazing example of Barbie with Growin' Pretty Hair #1144 from 1971! These particular dolls (and others from this era made in Mattel's Taiwan factory) are notoriously brittle with broken leg and shoulder joints, so she's had two hip replacements and a shoulder replacement, ha ha! This actually makes her better and way more fun. She's not perfect after over 50 years, so please do take a look at all of the photos and note the following details: Her eyelashes are great, hands and feet are great, no neck splits, nose nips, ear piercings, or missing hair. Facial coloring is beautiful, makeup is all original. 2 hip joints & 1 arm joint have been replaced (thanks to my talented husband!), so she is easily and safely posed. She has melt marks on her back and behind Knees bend and click well - her right leg clicks softly The arm where the shoulder joint hasn't been replaced (her left one) moves quite stiffly so you'll want to be careful with that one Ponytail is full length and doesn't retract anymore, but if you take it out of the braid and comb it smoothly, it will push back into her head/body with no problem. Original dress has a spot on back right near bottom, is a little dingy at bust darts, and I see a tiny dot at front bottom near the center. There are some missing stitches at the front neckline Taiwan card has tape damage from original tape still attached. Instructions have folds, wear, creases, etc. but are still very usable! Smoke-free, pet-free home. Did I mention she is GORGEOUS?!
