The iconic Rat Fink character was created by Kustom Kulture artist Ed "Big Daddy" Roth. It was designed to be the anti-Mickey Mouse and symbolized the hotrod car movement of the 1950s and 1960s. Rat Fink charms and rings first appeared in the mid-1960s, often found by the cash register in shops across the U.S. They came in different colors with and without painted eyes, some to be worn with a ring base and some as charms.
