Vintage 1957 Vogue Dolls Jill 10” Bend Knee Brunette w/ Leotard Shoes Barrettes

Description: Vintage 1957 Vogue Dolls’ Jill - an approximately 10” fashion dolls tall, in hard plastic. It is a bend knee walker with increasingly more scarce dark brunette affixed wig hair that is full, in its original wavy set (not brushed out) with original barrettes. The doll has clear blue sleep eyes, high heel feet, red lips, red polished fingernails and toenails. Upper back is marked JILL VOGUE DOLLS INC. MADE IN U.S.A. Included is the original Vogue Dolls, Inc-tagged black leotard that closes in the back with a Dot Starlet metal snap closure, and black elastic open-toed strap heels with rhinestones. Also included is a light pink tulle net ‘hankie’ with rhinestone on a black cord, apparently all part of the original outfit of Vogue Dolls’ Jill. The doll has one of its pearl heart-shaped earring, and just the post loop for the other her earring (missing heart). Condition: Very good vintage used condition. Eyes occasionally stick closed. Face paint is very good. Arms have been restrung with professional grade elastic cording. Head moves when legs move and head is sturdy but tilts to the left slightly. Knees move as intended. Most finger and toenail polish is intact. One white drop heart-shaped earring is missing. The brunette hair is full, and in its original wavy set, not brushed out, and it lays well. Barrettes show signs of age. Leotard has some fraying threads to be snipped at the shoulders and leg openings, tag is fading and fraying, but leotard it is otherwise very good. Rhinestones are present but the shoe elastic is stretched out and thus, shoes don’t stay on doll’s feet. The tulle is dusty from storage and age. No stains, no foul odors. Ther is mild mustiness from age and storage.
