Description: Vintage 1950s Wind Up Celluloid Santa & Reindeer Spinning Carousel in Box READ Condition is used but all parts are present and the original box is included. It does work as you can see in the attached video, however, it does sputter and not always runs this long. I believe that the reindeer heads are meant to "bob" up and down and they don't always do that. There is some degradation of the celluloid at the base by the winder, one reindeer and on Santa's head. I think that the star top piece is meant to be affixed to Santa's head as there is what looks like dried adhesive on the inside and on the ball on top of Santa's head. The box does have the date "1955" written on one end and "H E 98" on the bottom but it is sturdy with only one small piece of torn paper at corner.Even with the issues, it is so very unique and charming and a rare find in the original box.
