Vintage 1950's Turner P9D dynamic microphone w period E.V 423A stand display # 4

Description: Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome. You are looking at a nice 1950's era Turner P9D model microphone with a dynamic element and all metal housing with satin chrome finish. The riveted Turner badge shows it's early age and it comes with the period Electro Voice 423A model desk stand shown in which to display this mic. The 9D came with The On / Off switch as where the Turner P9D model had the "push to talk" button as you can see in pic # 2 from an older Turner advertisement. This P9D was ideal for general broadcasting purposes but it should be noted that this microphone has an original element but it no longer works so it cannot be used for any live event unless you put a working element inside. It should be used for display, prop or repair purposes only. It has a very cool deco vibe to it and will fit into any 1940's / 50 environment. The satin chrome on this mic looks very nice with a few nicks, tiny scuffs and tiny scratches. Zero dents or fractures. The original black cloth is free on any fading, rips or holes. This mic will screw on to any American desk or floor stand as well with it's universal mic stand threading though a stand is provided. The Turner badge is completely legible and well secured. Mic is solid with zero loose parts inside or out. Again, the original element is still inside but it no longer functions. I would give a this mic a very conservative 7 + on a scale of 1 - 10 physically speaking. MICROPHONE STAND SHOWN IS PART OF THIS SALE... The stand is actually a period Electro Voice 423A model. It has an aluminum base with a brass riser which are both plated with a satin chrome finish that compliments the mic nicely. The stand has very lite physical wear located only on the top of the base in the form of lite pitting a nd small scratches. The stand is appx 6 inches tall X 5 inches wide and makes a stable platform for the Turner mic. There are 3 original rubber pads on the bottom still. Stand shows about the same amount of wear as the mic and in very good condition. Total height with mic and stand is appx 11 inches tall. A great combo and this will look great anywhere it sits in the office, studio or house And as with all my items... I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid.
