Description: 1950s goldtone two interlocking loops with looped wire around the loops with double snake chain on either side and a fold over clasp. Marked "NAPIER." Measures: 7 3/4 inches long by 1 3/4 inches wide. Condition: Good; there is some goldtone wear throughout here and there, on the front primarily in the grooves and balls near the claps, some wear on back from rubbing. Vintage Napier jewelry was made in Meridan, Connecticut and is very high quality and desirable. In the 1950s, jewelry by Napier was worn by celebrities including Marilyn Monroe, Doris Day, Mamie Eisenhower and Miss America. A necklace sold by Napier in the 1980s or 1990s could cost $100 or more. The plant in Meridan was closed in 2000 and the company sold in 2002, so while the company name still exists, the jewelry is now mass produced.
