Description: DESCRIPTION: I SELL ONLY WITHIN THE U.S. NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING OFFERED. I’m offering today an adorable large size heavy vinyl baby doll. This doll was introduced in the 1950's, but unfortunately, I couldn't find a makers mark or name. She is an all vinyl doll which is fully jointed. Her head, arms and legs are jointed allowing you many ways to pose her. This sweet baby doll has blue open and close sleep eyes. She has molded brown hair with lots of enhanced waves running through it. The top of her head does have some paint rubs. These imperfections are very common for a doll of this age. I always expect my older dolls to have imperfections, which makes them so very special to me. She is such a cutie pie, don't you think? I will start at the top of her head and work my way down so as not to omit anything in my description. Starting at the top of her head, she has molded hair which is painted a brown color. There is some paint loss on her head, but that should be expected for a doll of this age. She is wearing one of my antique baby bonnets, which is much older than the doll. It is made of pink silk with lovely ruffles and lace. It frames her face beautifully. As you go down her face, she has single brown line for eyebrows. She has blue colored eyes, which open and close freely. She has her original eyelashes which have been spared from her previous little mommies scissors. Sometimes, the little mommies like to trim and paint on their dolls. Luckily, this one was spared any of that over the years. She has a petite nose with open nostrils for realism which flows down to her precious open mouth. Her lips are painted a bright red color with single hole for bottle feeding. I don't give my old dolls water, so I do not know if she tinkles or not. I'll leave that up to her new mommy. The back of her neck is is not hallmarked. As most of you who follow me know, I pick their outfits based upon the way their faces look and what they speak to my heart. With this precious face I wanted her to be in something that looked similar to what she might have worn in the 1950's. Therefore, I chose this gray cotton onesie that comes up high around her neck. I added elastic to the neck area so it wouldn't fall down on to her shoulders. There are metal snaps on the side of the shoulder for easy removing. Her sleeves are soft pink sheered fabric which flow over her shoulders. Sitting in the center of the bodice, is a large soft pink flower. As you go down to her skirt, there are three rows of the soft sheer pink fabric, which comes down to her knees. Since it is a onesie, the panties have snaps in the crotch area for removal. I thought this outfit was fitting for this old and sweet baby doll. I had these cotton booties crocheted for her which are soft pink in color with pink socks to complete the outfit. She is adorable and ready to be loved for another 70 plus years. My dolls are not played with by children who come and visit; I know that sounds mean, but sometimes they play too rough. My dolls are kept in a doll room specifically for them and are displayed for everyone to enjoy. All my dolls are truly loved and cared for as though they were my children. Their clothes are either original to the doll, made by me, or I've tried finding doll clothing from the same era as the doll or find clothing which match the personality of the doll. We do not smoke and I try very hard to keep a tidy clean home free of dust and odor. My dolls are clean and most of the time look as though they did when they were sold new. Depending on how old they are, I do try to be honest in detailing if some of the dolls have bruises, missing toes or fingers or other issues, but that doesn't mean they aren't worth having; for each one is like children.....they are all beautiful in their mothers eyes. If I've missed something it would never be intentional. SIZE: This vintage hard vinyl baby doll stands approximately 19" tall. CONDITION: This doll is vintage, but in what I would consider good condition. Her body has been cleaned and sanitized. Her eyes open/close freely and she has her original eyelashes. There is some paint loss to her molded hair, but this is quite common for a doll of this age. She is jointed and poses quite nicely. She has all her fingers and toes. She is wearing an adorable vintage outfit with lots of sheer pink ruffles. She is wearing custom made hand crocheted cotton booties. Her socks are new. The photos really tell the story about this doll. She is a beautiful doll and one of a kind. Please view complete set of photos for thorough description. I hope you can take a few minutes to look at my other dolls. God bless you. Connie
