Description: A favorite of Ernest Hemingway's, this 1940's Royal Quiet DeLuxe with original case and working key even smells like enduring vintage quality. In beautiful condition for its age with margins, caps lock, return and bell all functioning properly. Note: the "X" key does not seat all the way (see photos), however it works normally and does not interfere with any of the neighboring keys. All four of the case's foot locks for the typewriter work as they should. There is some cosmetic corrosion on the case's metal hinges and some surface marks on the inside and outside (see photos). A little TLC would likely clean these up if one was so inclined. For being eighty years old, this machine has more than enough life left in it to write the next great American novel and more poems than you can shake a stick at!
