Description: Vintage 1940s Old Hollywood Bespoke Satin & Lace Wedding Dress + Duster Jacket Set Please see video so you can see how the dress moves. This dress was soaked / hand laundered, but will absolutely need to be pressed / steamed. This will either be shipped in a large polymailer or folded and shipped in a box. Again, it will absolutely need to be pressed / steamed. Estimated modern XXS / XS - but please see the abundance of measurements to make your best determination. FEATURES: Dress : Back snap closure with hook and eye at the top (see condition notes). Lace straps with satin and lace bodice. Skirt is satin with lace gore insets. Fairly full skirt. Satin tie waist (see condition note) Jacket: buttons from waist all the way up. Snap near collar. Long sleeves. Lace with satin lining. Satin piping down each sleeve. Nipped at the waist. Open in the front to reveal the dress underneath. Long train covered in satin magnolia blossoms. End of train meant to reflect shape of a heart COLOR: a candlelight ivory. This will obviously change depending on the lighting situation. Notice how the video is different than the NON EDITED still photographs due to different lightings. WOUNDS FROM TIME: There are some marks/staining . See photos. Some variations in color on the satin. Also shown in photos. There are some smaller marks throughout and some minor pricks/scuffs to the satin. There are a couple of larger and more prominent water marks on the satin of the dress on the skirt of the front. See photos. Darkish brown mark on dress that is covered by waist ribbon. Some holes to the lace (could be worn as is). See all photos. Horsehair hem has come untacked in places. Buttons on jacket have rust marks. A couple magnolia blossoms need to be tacked down. It is possible one is missing (based on placement). I would recommend talking the top layer of the train to the satin underlayer/lining. I imagine based on the finger loop to the lining that it was connected at one point the hook and eye is missing the eye as the eye thread has broken over time. One waist tie loop has come undone on one end (on the back). This truly is a stunning dress and set. Please see all photos + video. I have maxed out on the number allowed // I am 5’2” and at the time of the video, I weighed 107 pounds and was wearing 4" heels. This was actually quite a good fit on me albeit a tish bit too long MATERIAL: satin and lace with no stretch Measurements taken flat and APPROXIMATE DRESS Shoulder to shoulder- 15" Shoulder to waist seam- 16” Waist seam- 12.5” Chest front (side seam to side seam)- 20.5" Chest back (underarm to underarm)- 13.5" Shoulder to hem- 59” Hips not taken due to full nature JACKET: Shoulder to shoulder- 14.5” Sleeve length (from seam)- 24.5” Chest front (taken underarm to underarm from seam to seam)- 19” Chest back (taken underarm to underarm)- 16.5” Shoulder to waist (where the buttons stop)- just over 15” Waist- 13” Shoulder to end of train- 91” down center. 98” at points of each “heart” lobe
