Description: Get inspired by these incredible 1940's platform heels from handmade American shoe manufacturer Mackey Starr... I knew once I laid eyes on these fabulous shoes, that I had found something special. It wasn't until a few hours after, that I began researching them, and found a twin pair (in black) within the Metropolitan Museum's archives! This version comes in navy blue leather and features dynamic gold spangle medallions & brads, adorning the platform sections. These shoes also feature peep toe and slingback adjustable strap design. They are beautifully made, and in overall very good to excellent condition, with some moderate to mild signs of age and wear; light creasing to leather at vamps, slight color loss to leather edge at peep toes, very mild scuffing throughout, light discoloration to metal spangles, and some glue remains from spangle application -see photographs for all condition issues. They are marked 'size 3.5, handmade Mackey Starr, New York' (the maker) and 'Albert at Stein & Blaine, New York' (the retailer).
