Description: Vintage 1940-50s Ceramic Blackamoor Boudoir Lamps in Working Condition A most unusual pair of 1940s-1950s ceramic Boudoir Lamps featuring a Blackamoor couple, a male and female. The ceramic is in very good condition with a few characteristic tiny glaze flaws here and there, no chips or flea bites found. The color of the turbans is a translucent lime green over yellow glaze. The color appears to be a bit more to yellow in the photos with the exception of the last three frames where the color is better matched. The lamps are in working condition as shown. The wires are rather stiff and they are also short at about 3 feet long, but do not show any cracks. One of the plugs is not shielded and should be replaced or repaired as it appears that one of the wires inside is a little loose. The plugs do not match exactly but are of the era. It is recommended that the wires also be replaced. The sockets and the switches seem to be in good condition. I can have the wires and or plugs replaced locally at extra charge but the shops who do this work are extremely expensive in my area, so I am offering the lamps as-is, needing minor repair, but usable as they are with a minor repair to one plug. The height of the figurines is about 7-3/4” not including the sockets, and the width of the heads is about 4-1/2”. The diameter of the base is 3-3/4”.
