Description: Vintage RARE 1939 Gulliver's Travels Paper Dolls Cut Outs by Saalfield Publishing #1261. This set was based on the Paramount Pictures Animated Film and includes 8 Paperdolls + 51 Pieces of clothing, additional characters and accessories. The 8 cardboard paper dolls are: Prince David; Princess Glory; King Bombo; King Little; Gabby; Snoop; Snitch and Sneak. The Lemuel Gulliver paperdoll is missing, but pieces of his clothing and hats are present. It is hard to find this original paper doll book in any condition. The book Gulliver's Travels was written by Jonathan Swift and originally published on October 28, 1726. Lemuel Gulliver was a Surgeon and then a Captain of Several Ships. Gulliver's Travels Paper Dolls have been very neatly punched out and are in varying conditions. Prince David has a foot missing and an old repair to his other foot. There are bends on some of the other paperdolls. Colors are still nice and bright for their 85 years! They measure approximately 4.5"H up to 7.5"H. The main 8 cardboard characters have several pieces of clothing and accessories present. Paperdolls are ideal for paper ephemera crafting, framing, scrapbooking, smash books, embellishments, child's album, child's room decor and much more.
