Vintage 1938-41 Ideal Deanna Durbin 17" Composition Dressed Doll with Fur Wrap

Description: DESCRIPTION: Vintage 1938-41 Ideal Deanna Durbin 17" Composition Dressed Doll with Fur Wrap.Seventeen inch, teenage Deanna is all composition, jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips. Good original face paint, clear blue sleep eyes, all brush lashes, eye shadow, painted lower lashes, feathered brows, subtle cheek blush, open smiling mouth showing six upper teeth, and felt tongue. Brunette human hair wig appears to be re-set. Strung tightly - she can stand and pose. Very good fingers and toes without repairs. Wearing an unknown gown, white fur wrap, silky slip, panties, rayon socks and silver, center snap shoes. Has a "homemade" hang tag. CONDITION: Good briefly played with condition. Face paint is all very good. Eyes are stuck open. Lashes are thick. Wig looks nicely re-set and is on the thin side - has a hairnet. Composition has very, very light crazing without cracks or chips. Free of lifting or flaking paint. Strung tightly - can stand and pose. Very good fingers and toes - with good nail polish. Clothing has not been laundered lately and appears somewhat age soiled. Dress closes with small brass safety pins. Bodice is a tad too small. Full body slip looks handmade. Panties look like vintage replacements and have loose waist elastic. Fur wrap is vintage - quite lovely and in excellent condition - except the "frog" closure appear to be incomplete. However, it stays on the doll without it. Silver center snap shoes are most likely original. Socks look original also. Shoes have unbroken center snaps. One shoe is missing the heel (pictured) Socks are vintage and lightly age soiled.
