Description: Super rare, original Wings Cigarettes cardboard store counter display, I believe from the 1930's. Measures approx. 24" tall and 22" across at its widest point. I have not been able to find anything similar to this piece either on eBay or the internet. On the front there is stenciling that says "S Mercke", and on the back is some kind of makers' mark that I can't make out. I tried researching S Mercke with very little success, but that name might have a history here in Atlanta so it may have been printed here. It has a lot of condition issues - water stains and damage, holes here and there, peeling along the edges, the foldable piece on the back that props up the display is missing...please make sure to take a look at all of the pictures so you have an idea of what I'm talking about.
