Description: Vintage 1920's RCA Radiola Model 17 tube radio that is in working condition. Once the tubes warmed up, I was able to receive stations quite readily, with good volume on nearby stations with no antenna attached. The only issue to note is that the #80 and #27 tubes have to be repositioned a little to get reception. I suspect that the contacts may be worn and will need to be addressed. I will attempt to upload a video of the unit playing, but if you do not see it with the listing, message me and I can send it to you. All of the knobs turn smoothly and properly and the power cord is in good shape for it's age, but it has definitely been cut down in size. The finish on the radio is all original and has simply been cleaned and polished with a professional wood wax. The rear panel has a small piece that was cut out at one point, which has been covered over with a piece of wood veneer. The light bulb is not functioning and the light shield is not present. Don't miss out on this opportunity to own this great early radio that is a must have for your collection. In order to ensure safe delivery, the radio will be double boxed and the tubes will be removed and boxed as well and placed inside the radio. Do not hesitate to make an offer, all will be considered.
