Enamel chestnut colored horse heads are expertly painted and are in great condition. Oval panels are 3/4 by 1/2 inches. Chain connector is 3/4 inches long. Original patina. Light wear to the gold. My two cents: Quality hand enameling and hand made jewelry in general, is becoming a lost art, as the artists got old and retired. That is a fact told to me by one of the largest companies in Birmingham, England , who had to close their doors after 150 years as a family owned business. The skills were not passed down as in the past decades. Young people were not interested in learning the trade. Apprenticeship dried up. Dress codes relaxed, and jewelry manufacturers moved to Asia. Go to the D and F website. I think these are better! And way less money. ( The last photo is an example of cufflinks sold by this company.
