Description: Vintage 4-Page Letter dated July 1878 from woman in Beach Haven, NJ to woman in Christiania (now Oslo) Norway with Cover including Scott 179 Zachary Taylor 5-Cent Stamp with Beach Haven, London (front and back) and Christiania Postmarks. Addressee is recipient with address Poste Restante in Lordalsoren (which we believe is part of Oslo). Interestingly name crossed out Joh(annes) Heftye and Son was the first commercial bank in Christiania established in 1818. The letter is somewhat hard to discern takes some patience the sender discusses missing home and recipient and something about a wedding and travels. Page 4 has cross-writing which is always annoying in our opinion. Condition is good the letter i sin good shape and cover has normal wear being almost 150 y.o. This ships fast and FREE!
