The gem tester cannot distinguish between a treated stone or and a natural untreated stone. For example, rubies and sapphires are more likely treated than natural. The gem tester also cannot distinguish between a man-made carbon diamond and one that occurs naturally and is mined from the earth. This vintage 14K gold brooch by Esemco showcases a mid-century modern design with an atomic space age flair. It measures 1-13/16 inches long, and weighs 6 grams total including the stones. The 6 round multi-colored stones are prong set on the yellow gold base metal, creating a stunning piece of fine jewelry. I did not test the stones, and am selling them as crystal.
