Description: Vintage 14k Gold 9.8mm Wide Cigar Band Ring Etched Borders Sz 7.75 Dated 1962 Vintage 14k Gold 9.8mm Wide Cigar Band Ring Etched Borders Sz 7.75 Dated 1962 Click images to enlarge Description Offered today is a solid 14k gold vintage Mid Century Modernist cigar band eternity ring with a maker's mark I do not recognize (S in a crown symbol). The band has definitey provenance from the 1960's, as it is was a gift to "Carol", and is inscribed "Carol Love Charlie" along with the date of 8-28-1962. This gorgeous band is just under 1/2 inch wide (9.8 mm). It is etched with a design at the top and bottom borders. Please keep in mind that this is an eternity band (pattern goes all the way around) and that sizing could be done, but it would disturb the etched pattern on the borders, if it were sized. It could possibly be made larger with a slight "reaming" (stretching) of a tiny bit by a competent jeweler. It falls with the top at size 7.75 on my mandrel (see photos). A wide band like this one will fit more snugly than a normal ring--please take that into consideration. This vintage wide band is marked S 14k, with the inscription noted above. The crisp, clear hallmarks and inscription evidence very little wear to the ring. It weighs 6.7 grams and it is around a size 7.5. It is in excellent vintage condition!
