Description: I am listing this as a piece attributed to Tlingit artist Bill Wilson, whom was from Hoonah, Alaska and brought these bracelets to the mass markets in the 1960’s and 1970’s through the Metal Arts Group in Seattle. Don’t know if this is an original carved by Wilson or one done by the Metal Arts Group. This piece is stamped 10K, but doesn’t have any manufacturers mark on the bracelet, which these normally have if they are MAG. Wilson never signed his pieces, so this might be an original, but not 100 percent sure. I am listing this as a piece attributed to Wilson and not hand carved, because of this and to comply with the Indian Arts & Crafts Act. Bracelet is vintage, but guaranteed solid 10K gold of an “Eagle” and “Raven”, which are opposite clans and referred to as “Lovebirds”, which can get legally married in Tlingit culture. This is adjustable to fit all wrists, but certainly more for a woman. Check out my other great and rare Alaskan auctions!
