Vintage 10k Gold PSCo Initial E Signet Ring Black Onyx Large Art Deco

Description: Vintage, Art Deco style, 10k gold Signet Ring with Black Onyx Stone and applied gothic font initial "G" or "E". This large, art deco style ring measures 1 3/4" high, 7/8" wide and 1" deep with a ring opening of 3/4" in diameter. Marked "10k" and "PSCo."on the inside, indicating that this was made Plainville Stock Company of Plainville, Massachusetts (by Attleboro, the famed silver and jewelry center of the time). The PS company, established in the 1880s, was known for its gold, silver and rolled gold jewelry at the turn of the century and was one of the largest producers in the US at the time. [The company later became known for its signet and other rings and other jewelry and distributed and sold their pieces and product lines across the country through the 1960sand up until the 1980s. The company was wound down in 2011.] This ring is overall in good condition with wear evident from bends in the edges of the metal in some places and a break in the back part of the gold band, where the ring sits under the finger. Still wearable and has not effected the integrity of the piece. We have left this as is to allow for resizing as needed but have had the ring fully cleaned. The front face, initial and bezel are in quite nice condition still. A handsome period statement ring. Shipping via USPS.
