The bell measures 10 inches wide at the rim. This bell is in well used condition. It has oxidation and stains in the chrome (or nickel) plating, and some corrosion. I have not polished this bell all I did was wipe it down. It has some stains of some sort and some house paint splatters on it. The chrome finish is dull. I noticed one spot at the top of the bell that is missing a flake of chrome (or nickel) plating which I took a close-up photo of my finger pointing towards for you to see. It has scuffs, scrapes, and a few dings. I made a youtube video so you can hear how this bell sounds, and how long it rings after the clacker strikes. The mounting bracket is painted red so maybe this was a fire engine bell? That bracket has lots of chips in the paint, and has bare metal spots that have rusted. The bolt is rusty looking too. I am not taking this apart I will let you. I don't see any manufacturer markings to tell me who made the bell. It does not have any kind of fire markings or stampings. The rope seems pretty old too.
