Description: Vintage mid century Fenton topaz yellow opalescent glass 10" basket (damaged). - Beautiful mid century uranium glass which glows under black light known as topaz yellow opalescent. - Classic basket design with ruffled edges and hobnail texture - Topaz opalescent yellow was first produced by Fenton in the 1940s with production halted due to WW2. Pieces were later produced post-war until 1962. There was a later revivial in the 1980s however these pieces have the Fenton logo. As an unstamped piece, this pre-dates the 1960s. - This piece has cracks around the base of one side of the handle which is the reason for the reduced price which is a quarter of what this basket would go for in mint condition. It is still a beautiful piece which could be arranged for display without the cracks being particularly visible. Not other cracks or chips are noted. Measurements: 10" x 9 1/4" x 8 1/2"
