Leather upper with a kind of a little distressed look in the leather, these are not defects. Zipper is 9" long. All measurements are as accurate as possible. 1.5" block heel. From top of heel in back to all the way to top of boot in back 18 1/2", as accurate as possible. Beautiful braided on back of boot on both sides with a 1/2" stretch material in between. Thank you for your interest and hope the pictures show you the beauty of this boot. If you notice some white on sole, came from displaying the boots on white back ground.
