Description: Philadelphia: J.B. Lippincott Compay. 1925. Second Impression, 4to, pp. 411, 29cm. Dark blue buckram boards with gilt decor and lettering on the front and spine. Bumped with discolored spotting on the lower portion of the front. In original blue DJ. DJ is a bit faded, has minimal edge wear, one 1/4 inch tear on the head of spine and the spine is discolored. Wrapped in mylar to protect. Fore-edge is rough cut while the top and bottom edge are trimmed. Ffep has a neatly penned gift inscription, "To/Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Gregg/In remembrance of their/kindness to/Don Knowles~/Xmas 1926". Color frontispiece with tissue guard and profusely illustrated with b/w photos throughout. One sticker affixed to the back bpd, lower left corner. "Tuscany has poured forth a stream of beauty and charm that has had a marked effect upon modern life within the past fifteen or twenty years.
