Description: VICTORY GLASS AVOR TANK / CANDY CONTAINER w/ PAINT We are pleased to offer this highly collectible WWII toy army tank pressed glass candy container manufactured by the Victory Glass Company circa 1942. It is sometimes called "Tank - Man in Turret" by collectors. It is pictured on page 96 of the "Candy Containers: a Price Guide" by L-W Book Sales and also in Eikelberner & Agadjanian, "The Complete American Glass Candy Containers Handbook, #722". This tank measures 4-1/4" long by 1-3/4" wide and stands 2" tall counting the tank driver's head. It is embossed with USA on both sides On the rim of the bottom of the tank it reads "Victory Glass Toy Division OZ-Avor". It has a nick on the side of two wheels and a fleabite on one top corner. Otherwise it is in excellent condition. It is clean with most of its paint intact around the sides. This would make the perfect gift for a veteran or one of our American military heroes of today.
