Description: A wonderful set of 2 Victorian halloween postcards, divided backs, unposted in wonderful condition. Miller Art Series No. 298 Hallowe'en. One card highlights a jack o lantern pumpkin with owls "To Wish You a Jolly Hallowe'en" and the other a witch and cauldon with bats "Hallowe'en Greeting." The late 1800s marked the beginning of the “golden era” of postcards, which were the text messaging or social media of the day—people sent these inexpensive greetings for any reason, particularly holidays.
