Description: Victorian Collapsible Travelling Cup, in a Pocket Watch Case, Patent EJT 15061An unusual example of a collapsible drinking cup, this one enclosed in a gilt covered brass case resembling a pocket watch, which could have been attached to an Albert chain. The outside of the case bears a Patent Number, 15061 and the initials E.J.T. contained in a Victorian belt cartouche. The case opens just like a pocket watch with a push button on the top, all in perfect working order. Although the cup will separate into its separate pieces it holds liquid really well with only very minimal seepage.I have included a number of photos and these probably describe the item better than I can and form part of the description. Condition: There is wear and mark to the gilt case. I have filled the cup with water overnight, although there were a couple of water drips to the side it did not leak any significant amount of water, there was no mark on the paper towel below.
