Description: An antique English porcelain transfer printed bread and butter/ cake or dessert plate dating from c 1840, the early Victorian period.. The plate has a very charming and pretty green transferware sheet or floral trellis pattern. The design features a trellis type background overlaid with floral swags interspersed with pink and white roses. The plate has integral handles and is 10 inches or 25.5 cm in diameter. There are no maker's marks but it was most likely produced by one of the Staffordshire factories of the day. The plate weighs 611g and is in very good condition. Suitable for use and a very attractive display plate or to add to a collection of similar transferware items. Please see my other antique ceramics listed for sale, including more plates.
