Description: Antique Victorian Trade Card Tarrants Seltzer Aperient History: These trade cards were originally found in an antique scrapbook of someone who lived in Derby Center, Vermont. These two cards were attached to each other and I didn't want to damage one to take them apart. One features a small blonde boy in a basket with pink flower on the side and below is a black and white version of a crying baby. Condition of the cards: The glue they used to attach the cards to the page was not water soluble (I tried soaking one from the book to see). I have cut the cards out of the scrapbook but left the scrapbook page on the back. So know that the reverse image shows the scrapbook paper and not the condition of the back of the cards. The card will have glue on the back but most likely also writing pertaining to the company making the cards but I cannot show you. I decided it was better to keep the cards and ink as close to original condition from the scrapbook as possible and this is why I am selling as is. This gives you the option to have a conservator or you properly remove it from the scrapbook page if you wanted to. The cards are as is. Please see pictures for condition and size.
