Description: This is a glorious pair of Victorian era earrings. They are crafted from 18K yellow gold, carved bone & Sapphires. The tops feature a long hook ear wire soldiered to a simple twist design with a prong mounted old mine cut sapphire. The sapphires are a lovely rich blue saturation. They suspend the long hand carved torpedo drop dangle. The dangles are super detailed with a snake coiled around the drop 3 times. The snakes body is very textured and full of details. These really are superior quality earrings. The condition is excellent with a bit of wear to the sapphires. They date from the mid 1800s.
