Description: This yellow gold, onyx, and seed pearl brooch is in great antique condition bright detailed gold frame and 9 securely set seed pearls. There is minor scratching seen of the onyx (see photos). The pin mechanism works well and as designed without problems. The C-clasp and tube hinge mechanism dates this piece from the period of 1850-1910–seemingly Victorian in style. The gold is not marked but tests as 14K. The back of the pin is personalized with the script initials of IB. The brooch is 1-1/8” and weighs 7.04 gm.
