Description: Victor Talking Machine - Vic I & 0 Motor Fully Serviced ~ Works PerfectlyReplaced Brass Spindle Drive Gear This is an early Victor motor that is suitable for many Victor 1 (I) and Victor 0 (O) outside horn Talking Machines. It has been fully serviced by me, Walt Sommers. The brass spindle drive gear was badly worn and slipping when I received this motor, but it has been replaced with a near perfect original gear from my parts supply. The spring is in great condition and has been cleaned and lubricated with a combination of graphite powder mixed with lithium grease. All other gears and shafts are in great condition. This motor runs very quiet for a coarse double-cut spindle drive. Most of these motors are very noisy as a result of the bad spindle drive gears but I have carefully serviced this on using an excellent replacement gear. Note that this motor uses a slotted crank as did all early Talking Machines (see pictures). There are several different motors that were used in the Victor I and Victor 0 machines during their production, so please verify that this is the one you need BEFORE you buy it. If you are in doubt or simply not sure what you need, send me a picture of two of what you have and I will gladly help you figure it all out. For those of you familiar with Victor parts catalogs or Harold Braker's excellent guide to Victor motors, this motor is identified as "Victor Type EM" and its applications include the Victor I & 0. If you also need the mounting screws and/or felt vibration isolators I have them. Just ask and I will list them separately for you. This motor will be very securely packed in an appropriately sized box (~4" to 6" cushioning) and well protected in bubble wrap and foam packing peanuts. Got one you need fixed? Let me know!
