The Tin Can Sailors of Venice Honor Veterans in many ways, on Memorial Day they place a wreath in Patriots Park in Venice Florida to remember our fallen heroes, they also volunteer for Flags Across America and help place flags at the foot of each monument at Sarasota National Cemetery, Through donations they support the Douglas T. Jacobson House, a State run veterans home in Port Charlotte, They Support the no Veteran Forgotten Funeral Service held monthly at Sarasota National Cemetery, they support the Honor Flights to Washington for our distinguished veterans, along with many other worthwhile causes. We encourage you to open up your wallets and be part of these worthy causes. These flags are hand made by a TCS member. In addition to contributing the labor our member also contributes the material, other members pay for the shipping and packaging. 100% of the money you spend on this wonderful flag display goes directly to veteran causes.
