Description: Here is a very rare Vespasian denarius from the "Judaea Capta" series. Struck in early 70AD on an 18mm silver flan weighing 2.6 gm. Obv. Laureate head of Vespasian facing right with IMP CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG around. Rev. A mourning Jewess sits under a palm tree with her hands tied behind her back and IVDAEA in exergue. Very rare with the palm tree and bound captive reverse, especially in this condition. Purchased many years ago from the trusted seller "vivitelaeti" on ebay. In the beautiful condition shown with small losses to the edge of the coin as shown and minor damage above the figure on the reverse probably caused by compression of some kind which has not impacted the details as shown in the photos. Minor issues considering the rarity and overall condition of this coin. Your satisfaction is guaranteed in any case since if you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, I will refund the initial shipping fee and also pay the return shipping cost for a truly risk-free purchase. SORRY, NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING DUE TO PREVIOUS LOSSES.
