Description: ***Price dropped $150 on August 7th. After listing these as “Plant stands” I was contacted by someone who informed me that these are actually antique casket stands. Also known as a “bier” or a stand which a coffin or casket may rest before being carried off to be placed into the ground. They are japanned so I at least got that part right. ***one of the legs is loose and can removed easily, however it does not seem to affect the stability due to the nature of how these are constructed. 22” tall, 16” across when opened, 12 pounds a piece. For the record, they do make terrific plant stands. I had giant ferns on them for a few months. Please send me questions or comments.
