Description: Very old brass lantern/flashlight. I don't know if this was used by a railroad or not. I did not find any information on the lamp. I also do not know if this operated on a battery or a solution of some sort. I have not seen one like this before. I found it to be unique, it was offered at auction and I bought it. The top is glass, I believe. I found no cracks or breakage. Not sure what it is called but there is a very small spider web like line in the glass. I think it is from age. The overall height of the lantern with the top on is approximately 14 1/2 inches, the bottom measures about 3 1/2 inches across. There is a metal wire like bracket attached to the top portion of the body, the lower part of the body has a small bracket attached to each side. I also don't know if the light is complete or if it will work properly. It is being sold as is as a collectible, not for actual use as a lamp. Please see all of the photos.
