Very Nice Early M1905 Bayonet, S.A. 1907 with 1908 Date R.I.A. Leather Scabbard

Description: The hilt is in very good condition. The wood grip is nice with a medium brown color and with very minor wear. The pommel and cross guard have nearly all of their original blue. There a few tiny spots/specks of corrosion on the pommel. The blade is in excellent condition. The blade has all of its original blue. There a few tiny spots/areas of corrosion. These are hard to see. The ricasso is marked with S.A., and shell and flame, and the date 1907. The obverse is marked with US and the SN 216543. The scabbard is in good condition. It has several nicks, scratches and scuffs in the original leather surface. There is some flaking of the surface on the leather belt hook. The stitching is tight. It is marked RIA (Rock Island Arsenal), dated 1908, has the arsenal inspector initials HEK.
