ITEM DESCRIPTION DescriptionUp for your consideration is a gorgeous pair of oil painting, after Bartolome Murillo (Spanish, 1617 - 1682). These paintings are of the same quality as the original, painted in the mid-19th Century, likely from a Dutch painter. They are colorful, playful, and meticulous renditions of the original pieces. They have been custom framed, with protective glass. The old 19th C. European paper labels are on the back side, and also are protected by glass. These were framed and restored in the late 1990s, at a cost of nearly $1000. SizeThe paintings measure 8.5" x 8", and the outer dimensions of the custom frames are 15" x 14.5." ConditionOverall, both paintings are in excellent condition, free of concerns. There may be some minor restorations, but nothing that is noticeable other than a thin protective layer of varnish, which is necessary for preservation for painting on copper. The frames are of superior quality, made of solid wood, with a gold leaf interior, and a window on the back to show the original 19th C. European paper labels.
