Description: Rare Frank Marshall 38-inch "Nosey" Ventriloquist figure made way back in 1937. This medium-sized classic dummy was made for ventriloquist Leanord Pearson. He still has Marshall's business card affixed inside his head, and his body is stamped with Marshall's name as well. He has a nicely fitted moving mouth and stationary glass eyes. He was re-painted at some point, and he still could use some more paint touch ups, however he displays beautifully! There is a chip on the inside of his middle finger, but it is only seen on the inside. His head is in great condition, and so is his wood framed body. He is wearing a high-quality skin top wig and an original 1940s wool sailor suit. His head, hands, and legs are all carved from basswood. He has a pull string moving mouth and vintage black leather shoes! In the dummy's sock was an envelope from "The Harding Hotel" in Colorado. It contained Mr. Pearson's earnings from March 6, 1943. Maybe this is where he performed with this figure way back in the day?? Very interesting indeed! This will be included with this sale. Please feel free to message me with any questions. The Large 40 inch Marshall figure in the photo is for size comparison and not included. $45 shipping in the U.S. International shipping is available through eBay.
