Description: This auction is for Rare Set of USS BIRMINGHAM SSN-695 SEPT. 2022 REUNION GOLD SUBMARINE INSIGNIAS / BADGES (2)(2.8" & 1.75). The auction consists of two submarine badges copyright designed U.S. NAVY 688 CLASS FIRST FLIGHT Dolphins (Gold - Officer). A full size and a Mess Dress size. The 2 piece set are official size dolphins but instead of a post WW I Class submarine they have a 688 Class 1st Flight submarine with a surfaced slight Starboard angled bow on profiled submarine between the dolphins. These badges were custom made by COLLINSON ENTERPRISES out of Connecticut. They are copyrighted and made with permission from the designer. The full size version has the following engraved on the back: The USS Birmingham dates in commission and they are numbered. There were only 40 Gold full size Officer dolphins produced. The pictured set has 19 but you could be buying 10 through 40. It has the same dimensions of an official U.S. Navy Submarine Insignia. This is an unofficial version of the submarine insignia. A novelty set of dolphins. I will be on travel form July 25th to August 14th. I will not be able to ship items won until August 15th.
