Description: Tropical Combat Jacket 3rd Pattern FSN8405-082-5569 (size: Medium - Regular) The 3rd major version of the Tropical Combat Coat was first produced in 1966 and had no gas flap, epaulets, waist tabs or pocket drain holes. It was the first jungle jacket to have a back yoke and was made in both OG-107. Like all prior models it was made from wind-resistant cotton poplin and had pen pockets behind both chest cargo pockets. This item was purchased by the original owner through a surplus sell off while he was in the Army National Guard, new and never worn, stored in a barn for over 50 yrs! The item comes unwashed and in its original condition as found, with the exception of having been lightly brushed off. The item does have light white mold spots on the front, and arms. Buyer should have it professionally dry-cleaned or washed before being worn or displayed. Fabric is in new condition. Other discrepancies noted are a portion of the label being removed (probably by the national guard) and a mark on the back corner of the coat. Otherwise this garment is in excellent new condition. Please review photos for a better idea of the condition.
