Use Your Own HDMI Display -- Create a Weather Display for WeatherFlow Tempest

But first, you MUST own a WeatherFlow Tempest or Air/Sky, or have the ability to obtain the required WeatherFlow API key from a family member or friend. You also MUST own an HDMI-enabled monitor or TV and have a home network established (wired or wireless will work.) One of the biggest complaints about the WeatherFlow Tempest is that there is no dedicated display. This device solves this problem by providing a convenient, well-organized summary of all weather data from the Tempest weather station. Weather data is updated every one minute with rapid wind updates as soon as every 3 seconds. The WeatherFlow Air is optional for indoor temperatures. All data is displayed on your monitor or TV for convenient viewing. Note, the display will not be touch sensitive unless you use a touch screen monitor. The software was recently updated to version 26.2.1. All Raspberry Pi pins, ports, and the micro USB slot are fully accessible The computer board has aluminum heat sinks attached. For the initial setup, you will need to connect a keyboard and mouse to the device via the USB port. Once setup is complete, the mouse and keyboard are no longer required during normal operation. However, I keep an old wireless mouse and keyboard attached to my weather device all the time. Since this device is not touchscreen-capable, the mouse comes in handy at times. The case measures about 3-7/8" x 2-3/4" x 1-5/8" You will receive the weather-displaying device, a 5.1v 3A power supply (for the U.S.) with USB-C connector, and a 3 foot HDMI cable. Suggested installations: I have my weather display device and my desktop PC attached to my monitor via a monitor-sharing switch. With the press of a button, I can see the weather conditions. Another press and I'm back to my computer screen. The weather display can also be attached to one of your Tv's HDMI inputs -- see weather conditions from the comfort of the couch right from your TV remote. After purchase, I can set up the display device for you if you would like. You will need to send me some information about your Tempest. Once you receive the display unit, use a keyboard and mouse to connect to your home Wi-Fi. You can also connect the display to a wired network if you wish.
