(Sometimes the shape of the rough hides minor flaws and can’t be seen without cutting the stone.), VVS = very very small inclusions or feathers. (this can also mean flawless stone with one minor inclusion), VS = very small (one to 3 inclusions but still a nice cutable rough stone) SI = slightly included (up to 5 inclusions some may be major also includes cloudy stones) I = included, major inclusions, may not be fit for cutting however light still passes through the stone. Opaque = light does not pass though the stone. Exception = Opal is hard to grade on this scale and I will only describe it as clean or included.
