Description: This is an original pair of M1938 US combat suspenders or load bearing suspenders. This is the harness that attached to the ammunition belt and held up all the gear a GI carried. This was originally khaki canvas but in true US military fashion it was painted green to match the other web gear. This is very early war issue with a 42 date. It is in very good usable condition. The web belt hooks are actually steel and not brass like some of the really early ones were so there is a little minor surface rust. These would be great for an early WWII collection or display.
