Description: This auction is for a group of (3) 1864 banknotes from the Confederate States of America. Included are one each: $5.00, $10.00 and $20.00. These notes are all circulated (some heavily damaged and ragged) and have some or all of the following: heavy folding and wear (also have heavier creases and areas of wrinkled folding; the $10.00 is ragged, heavily damaged with many pieces missing); overall staining and darker areas of spot/line/section stains (also have smudges, many dark and dirty areas, many grease stains, areas of discoloration, areas of foreign substance); heavy edge and corner wear (including corners rounded and/or split/frayed (some with corners missing due to damage) - edges rough in some areas (some with ragged edges and pieces missing from damage); many edge indents/nicks (tears exist and some with many very large and damaging tears); heavy surface wear and fraying (some with surface damage and paper loss from damage); some with holes/inner tears (some with many large holes and very large inner tears); obviously pieces missing due to very heavy wear and damage.
