Description: Item Photos and Description For your consideration is a Japanese illustrated textbook of Japanese tea ceremony (CHADO), describing tea procedures based on Urasenke Way of Tea. This volume 3 features "Ro Temae" performed in the the sunken hearth (Ro) or cold season including Usucha-temae, Koicha-temae, Shozumidemae, Gozumidemae, which is of tea procedures learned in the introductory level. This hardcover illustrated book explains movements of a host or guests in tea procedures visually by using a sequence of photos with serial numbers and brief descriptions to provide step-by-step instructions in easy-to-follow-and-understand manner. Be aware that the entire text is in Japanese. This book was first published in 1976 in Japan. The author is SEN Soshitsu, the head (IEMOTO) of Urasenke school. Measures 217x155mm(8.5x6.1") and contains 122 pages including a lot of photographs of tea procedures and tools. Preowned but still in good condition, with some signs of aging and light general wear, in dust jacket with mild edge wear and discoloration, mild wear to corners/spine ends, otherwise a clean and tight copy, with photographs intact, no markings/notes inside, no torn/missing page.
